Are You Smarter Than A Ninth Grader?
The published coordinates shown here are for
parking. Solve the puzzles below in order to find the location of
the cache..
These problems were designed by Ninth Graders
Physics students here at Shrewsbury High School. Physics in
ninth grade you say? Well yes, how better to prepare
students, giving them the technical skills required for success in
the 21st Century. They learn analytical skills, have a
better understanding of how things work and learn how to work a
wide variety of problems - as exhibited here. One
impetus for doing this is the MCAS exam; Massachusetts now
enables students with a knowledge of physics to use this expertise
to fulfill the science requirement expected of all graduating
students.
The rules are simple. Solve the various 9th
grade physics problems. You can do it yourself, or you can
ask a high school student. But come on - you should be able
to handle this stuff! The cache is at N42
18.ABC, W071 44.DEF, where the letters refer to
the problems to be solved. The cache MAY have multiple
stages.
Please be cautious when school is in session;
strangers around a school can be a cause for alarm, so be
careful. The placement of this cache has been
approved by Mr. Kenneth Largess, Assistant Principal at Shrewsbury
