retiredprof: In light of geocaching's recent changes to the publishing rules, I am archiving all 150 of my challenge caches. I am a retired psychology professor, not a computer programmer. I am simply unable to comply with the new geochecker rules. I am sad that I have to do this. For those who have already begun any of my challenge caches, please note that you can still log archived caches. If you have any problems with this decision, please contact the geocaching authorities so that your suggestions may be considered.

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden near Hwy 99 in Yuba City at the above-listed coordinates. You can drive within thirty feet of it. In order to log this cache, you must first find 30 "dated" caches, as explained below.

FYI: a homeless person is camping near the site, so a temporary cache is now on a green transformer 50 yards N of ground zero (4-8-13)

************LOGGING REQUIREMENTS************

The geocaching game definitely has an educational aspect to it. Many caches refer to...and sometimes explain...historical occurrences. If we didn't learn history in school, maybe we can learn it via geocaching. Your job is to find 30 caches, each with a date in the title. The date must be a four digit number, such as 1776 or 1865 or 2009. There is no time limit, you may already have found the required caches (and only one cache from a series is allowed). When logging this cache, list your requisite caches as shown below...and be sure to list caches from three different categories (icons). Good luck with this historical project... your date with destiny...
