Geocache Description:

13:00 – 14:00

After the hustle and bustle of the Mega Event a chance to take to the hills and join us for a picnic on the highest mountain in South Wales.

The choice of route (and potential diversions) to get you to the right spot is yours.

For example:

1) Storey Arms – Corn Du – Pen y Fan (and back)

2) Neuadd Reservoir – Cribin – Pen y Fan – Corn Du – Graig Fan Ddu ( or clockwise)

3) Blaen-y-glyn – Craig y Fan Ddu – Bwlch y Ddwyallt – Fan y Big – Cribyn - Pen y Fan – Corn Du – Graig Fan Ddu ( or clockwise)

4) Arrange cars and walk the ridge: Talybont Reservoir - Storey Arms

- just ensure you arrive on the top of Pen-y-Fan within the event window (13:00 – 14:00) !

Remember, this is a mountain in Wales and the weather can be fickle! Even if it is warm and dry at your starting point it may not be at your destination or en route. Dress sensibly and be prepared for a sudden change in the weather.

As with all mountain walking please take all the necessary precautions, equipment and care - and then enjoy the walk.

Inclusion of intended starting point and time on any ‘will attend’ logs would be interesting, as would the route taken on the final ‘attended’ log.
