A quick cache and dash on the River Avon in
Bath
One bridge for road, one for rail and one for
foot.
At this cache you're pretty much stood in the heart of Bath's,
recently improved, transport interchange. There's quite a mix of
architecture on view with the bus station being the most recently
complete. The river below the bridge also provides a route for
traffic of a more leisurely kind - barges and local guided boat
tours. Sightings of these are far rarer in the winter months. Up
above runs the rail line into Bath Spa station. The line heads east
to London Paddington or to the west through Bristol and on into
Wales. As you'd expect this area can be quite busy, particularly
during rush hour, but with a little stealth and simply enjoying
watching the rest of life race by you can easily extract the
cache.
What You're Looking For
The cache is a 35mm film canister held in place by the power of
magnets. It only contains a logbook so you'll need to bring a
pencil to leave your mark. Please be careful to return it safely
back to it's hidey-hole for the next to find.
Happy caching!
