Geocache Description:

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of geocaching we decided to host an event to teach our local Cub Scouts (Pack 731) a little about the sport. What better way to teach the boys about geocaching than by bringing together the Cub Scouts and the local members of the geocaching community so on 10/10x3/10 @ 10:10 a.m. the co-ordinates to 10 new unpublished geocaches were distributed to the event participants. Each of these geocaches are in a different town (10 areas) surrounding Sallisaw.

Each cache contains 2 lines of a 20 line poem that reminded us of the original cache and surrounding circumstances, placed 10 years ago in the Oregon woods by Dave Ulmer. Please bring a piece of paper with you as you search for these caches so that you can record the poem. The poem lines were originally included as a way of telling if the cachers had visited and found each of the 10 caches without our group visiting each of those caches on the day of our event.

All 10 caches are park and grab micros in homemade, recycled containers. Please be advised that the FTF has already been claimed on all 10, as are 2- 10th finders… but the series is still a nice little ride. The original signers will be listed on each cache as we were able to read them, the wet ones have been fixed and the Sallisaw cache has been moved to a better place.

As always please be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye out for poisonous things if the time is right and thanks for playing.
