Geocache Description:

A geocache originally placed by Ghost-train and adopted by me.

DIDO = Drive In Drive Out cache series

DIDO (East)
This idea for a cache was borrowed from the Aussies. The name stands for Drive In - Drive Out and as the name suggests, the caches are small (read micro), and easy to access. So it is really a drive by and helps add to your numbers if that’s what caching is to you. Often the area is a layby into or out of a town/city, or maybe an area of interest, such as a lookout. For this reason they are mostly high muggle areas, so some stealth is required. There are four caches roughly equating to the points of the compass giving you a trip around the lake. All are magnetic Eclipse tins.

Instructions:
Parking: For safety reasons turn onto SH30 (Whakatane) and park in the gravel pit. This is a busy section of highway, and road sense and caution must be exercised at all times.

The Cache: Please DO NOT hide too well as it is distracting to drivers approaching the intersection to have people crawling all over the barrier. It is not big enough for anything other than the log, so you will need to bring your own pen/cil. Please do not move the cache anywhere other than from where you found it. The cache is tucked in and out of sight.
