"Los Tilos" es uno de los bosques de Laurisilva coherentes más grandes del mundo. El hecho que es reliquia del Terciario lo hace tan único. En más de 500 hectáreas que parecen una selva virgen crecen numerosos especies de laurel que a veces son endémicos. Caminar en este bosque que ha sido declarado Reserva de la biosfera por la UNESCO es una gozada para la vista por el color verde intenso que aparte de en los árboles se encuentra por ejemplo en los helechos que en parte son gigantescos. Frecuentemente podéis escuchar el canto de los pájaros o ver velos de niebla atraídos por el bosque que recuerda a la jungla.
El cache se encuentra a pocos metros del ramal a un mirador que ofrece una vista de 360 grados llamado "Mirador Espigón Atravesado" en el sendero PR LP 6, que por cierto vale la pena de una excursión y si hace buen tiempo (y no hay niebla) es una atracción impresionante. Podéis buscar el tesoro y al mismo tiempo caminar por una de las rutas que pasan por allí y que son descritas en muchas guías.
Tenéis que estar de bastante buena forma, porque para encontrar el cache hay que subir aproximadamente 300 metros de altitud en poco más de 3 km. Si queréis sólo caminar hasta el mirador y después volver, tenéis que contar con 2-3 horas. En las coordenadas que podéis ver abajo hay un aparcamiento. Ya en el principio del camino tenéis que cruzar por un túnel corto. Aunque no es muy estrecho y tendríais que poder pasarlo sin problemas (claustrofobia no es muy probable), recomendamos que los que no están de pie firme se lleven una linterna.
El contenedor tendría que ser fácil de encontrar. En todo caso hay pistas y spoiler de valor informativo. No tenéis que cruzar barreras o subir escaleras. El cache no se encuentra en un abismo y es de fácil acceso.

"Los Tilos" is one of the largest contiguous laurel forests on earth. What makes it unique is that it is a relic of the Tertiary. Numerous, partly endemic species of laurel are growing on over 500 hectares of an area reminding of a primeval forest. Whilst hiking through the luscious green of the forest, which has been included in the list of Biosphere Reserves by the UNESCO, you cannot only admire the trees themselves, but also the sometimes gigantic ferns. Thoughts of the jungle will come up in your mind when you hear the multitude of birds chirping loudly and see wafts of mists taken in by the forest.
The cache is located just a few metres away from the turn-off leading to one of the viewpoints facilitating an exciting 360 degree view, called "Mirador Espigón Atravesado", which is located on the trail PR LP 6. This walk is definitely worth a trip and when the weather is good (no fog) it certainly is a breathtaking highlight. You can very well connect your treasure hunt with exploring one of the hikes leading through the area, which are described in many of the travel guides.
You need to be somewhat fit to take the tour to the cache, since 300 metres of elevation are to be gained in little more than just 3 km. If you prefer to only walk to the Mirador and back, schedule 2-3 hours for your journey. The coordinates mentioned below will lead to a parking lot. Shortly after the tour has started, a short tunnel needs to be crossed. Even though it is not really narrow and should be easily passable (no reason for claustrophobia), those of you who are not completely sure of step might want to take a torch with them.
The container is quite easy to be found, but just to make sure, there will be helpful spoilers and hints available. You don’t need to cross any barriers or climb stairs. The cache is not close to the edge and can be reached hazard-free.

"Los Tilos" ist einer der größten zusammenhängenden Lorbeerwälder der Erde, erhalten geblieben seit dem Tertiär und darum so einzigartig. Auf über 500 Hektar urwaldähnlicher Fläche wachsen zahlreiche, teils endemische Lorbeerarten. Wanderungen in diesem von der UNESCO zum Biosphärenreservat erklärten Gebiet, bieten dem Auge viel sattes Grün, neben den Bäumen beispielsweise in Form zum Teil riesiger Farne. Häufig hört man zahlreiche, aus vollen Kehlen zwitschernde Vögel oder sieht Nebelschwaden, die vom Wald förmlich aufgesogen werden und Dschungel-Feeling verbreiten.
Der Cache befindet sich wenige Meter vom Abzweig zum einem Aussichtspunkt mit aufregendem Rundumblick, dem "Mirador Espigón Atravesado" am Wanderweg PR LP 6, der einen Ausflug wert ist und bei gutem Wetter (kein Nebel) ein atemberaubendes Highlight darstellt. Das Heben des Schatzes lässt sich zudem gut mit einer der in zahlreichen Reiseführern aufgeführten Wanderungen verbinden, die hier entlang führen.
Etwas Kondition ist erforderlich, auf dem Weg zum Cache sind rund 300 Höhenmeter zu bewältigen, die sich auf wenig mehr als 3 km verteilen. Wandert man nur zum Mirador und zurück, sollten 2-3 Stunden eingeplant werden. Ein Parkplatz befindet sich bei unten aufgeführten Koordinaten. Gleich nach Start der Wanderung muss ein kurzer Tunnel durchquert werden. Er ist zwar nicht eng und eigentlich problemlos passierbar (Platzangst dürfte nicht aufkommen), wer nicht ganz trittsicher ist, sollte aber eine Taschenlampe parat haben.
Der Behälter sollte gut zu finden sein, für alle Fälle gibt es aber aussagekräftige Spoiler und Hints. Es müssen keine Absperrungen überquert oder Treppen geentert werden. Der Cache befindet sich nicht am Abgrund und ist gefahrlos erreichbar.
