Part of a circular series or quick park and grab on it's own. Definite muggle likelihood it being near the Butty Van as you enter the road to Sale Water park. Film pot with log book and pencil.
Forms part of a circular series, starting at the road leading into Sale Water Park and then bearing off to the right to Jackson's Boat Public House. This is an historic inn situated on the banks of the River Mersey.The series then takes you along the River Mersey, past the Golf Course, over the bridge and back along the other side of the river, with a slight detour into the woods before heading back over the bridge to Jackson' Boat, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and/or tasty food.
This is a favourite walk of mine whilst exercising my dogs and takes us a good 45 minutes at a brisk pace. Please take cache finding times into account also. Whilst most of the caches are along the main route path, a few take you off on slight detours. There are miles of walking off the beaten track to be found around here and you may wish to spend time enjoying those also to appreciate the nature reserves. I usually add on a walk around Chorlton Water Park at the far bridge. If you have time to spare, I highly recommend visiting this lovely Nature Reserve. Whilst there are some fabulous potential places to hide a cache there, restrictions apply due to it's status.
Free parking is available at Jackson's Boat, M33 2LX or at Chorlton Water Park, off Maitland Avenue, M21 7JJ
This first cache can be found just as you enter the road leading to Sale Water Park. You can park near the Butty Van for a quick find or park at Sale Water Park or Jacksons Boat and walk back.
