Who am I? You must find out in order to find the cache. All I know is that my name is 42 75 63 6B 62 65 61 6B
In order to find the cache you will need to answer 8 questions about me and do some math to get the final coordinates.
Here's some pointers to assist you on your 8 questions:
Sum is the total by addition of a group of numbers (sum of 25, 30, and 15 is 70)
Checksum is the sum of the digits (checksum of 25, 30 and 15 is 16)
Character Value is the ordinal position of a character in the alphabet (character value of G is 7)
The Sum of the Character Values of the word Dog is 26 (4+15+7)
The Checksum of the Character Values of the word Dog is 17 (4+1+5+7)
1. What year was I renamed? Take the sum of the digits in that year and call that "A".
2. What was my new name after being renamed? Take the number of letters in that name and let that be "B".
3. Who did I live with? Let the sum of the numerical values of the first letter of the first name and the first letter of the last name be "C".
4. What year did I escape execution? Let the sum of the digits in that year be "D".
5. After I escaped execution, who took care of me. Subtract the number of letters in the last name from the number of letters in the first name and call that "E".
6. Who injured me in 1996? Let the sum of the numeric value of the first letter and the last letter in the name plus the number of letters in the name and call that "F"
7. I participated in two battles of the Second _________ War. Let the number of letters in the missing word be "G".
8. What kind of creature am I? Let the sum of the numeric values of each letter be "H".
Here's a hint, the sum of the answers to A through H = 242.
Now it's time to do some math. The final coordinates for the cache are:
N45 (A+F)/2 . (H*6) + (E*2)
W122 (B+C+D-2) . (G*D) + (A*D) - (C*10) - G + (E*2)
