Geocache Description:

For the 3rd annual winter M&G in Kailua-Kona we will have a special guest, as this year's theme will be "Meet the Author" Mr.S.P.Grogan the author of the "Captain Cooked" a Big Island series and GPS treasure hunt..




There are 3 caches (#4, #5, #6) hidden on the Island by the author "Captain Cooked" in a series that will eventually lead you to the "Lei`o Mano war club" and the grand prize of $5000

This location is close to all the waterfront shops right across the break-wall of "Kailua Bay" where you might find one of the cruise ships anchored out a little farther. Parking is available at the back or at the municipal parking lot. For a number of Geocaches within walking distance see list below.

The Big Island Geocachers will be promoting geocaching at their February 20th "Meet & Greet" at their 3rd annual meeting and travel bug exchange... Anyone who is interested in Geocaching or who owns a GPS is encouraged to attend this event. No experience necessary, as volunteers will show you how and where to find a geocache. There are about 1,200 geocaches hidden on the Hawaiian Islands with about 120+ of them on the Big Island alone. Time: 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs. Free to the public.
