Ah yes, I remember going to the Brockville Drive-In. We'd go in my uncle's half-ton and he'd park it backwards, so we could sit in the back and watch the movie under a warm blanket with my cousins. I also remember the fun we had going to the concession stand to get stale popcorn, gnarly hot dogs and watered down soda.
 

                              

I also remember the mosquitos, yes those dastardly villians of the air. We'd do our best to cover up and my uncle always had a few "Pic" Mosquito coils, burning, but they never seemed to do any good. We were often having so much fun that it didn't really matter that we were being eaten alive.


                                        

Yes, those days were fun, it wasn't even really the movie you went for, but the whole "Drive-In Experience". The old Brockville Drive-in is long gone now, having been purchased as property for one our local industrial giants. However, if you look at the location from Google Earth, you can still see the semi-circular ridges that remain the tell tale signs of a drive-in from days gone by. I've had the pleasure of taking my children to a drive-in and told them great stories of the days when "daddy used to get eaten alive watching a movie". Well unfortunately the advent of modern technology, like VCR's and satellite-tv was the beginning of the end for the age of the drive-in. You can still go to one, but around here you'd have to travel an hour or so and to be honest, there aren't nearly as fun as they were in the "old days".

The cache you are looking for isn't on the old drive-in property, but is located directly across the road on public land. You're looking for a film cannister, in an obvious spot. It's really a park and grab, but this road is very busy, so please be careful, especially with young ones. Canadianzombie wants people to have fun and be safe, so please do so.
