If you would like to share some fun with your children, grandchildren or anyone else, you will want to visit the ten toad sculptures, located in downtown Greer, South Carolina. The metal toads were placed by Jason and Allyson of BIN112. They are located up and down, and on both sides of Trade Street, with some on Poinsett Street where Trade Street meets it. Each toad has a name, and has a number assigned to it with a hint (see below) to aid in finding it. There is no set order in which they must be found. As GPS readings can be difficult in any location with tall buildings, I have tried to get a general coordinate reading that will get you close enough to locate each one.
The posted coordinates are a starting/parking point, although you can park in any available space on Trade Street.
The Story:
Tater Toad wanted to see the world. He hopped a train and travelled far and wide. He saw the big city lights of Atlanta. He soared through the rolling hills of the Carolinas. He made his way to the coast to dip his toes in the salty waters of Myrtle Beach. He even got so far as Vermont once, but decided the North was not the place for his Southern soul. But it was in Savannah that he met his one true love, Tallulah. He spotted her bright green eyes and shiny skin from across a crowded pond. She was lying alone on a lily pad, gently paddling with a lazy leg. He swam up to her and it was love at first sight. They married in a romantic courtyard in Charleston and decided to head back east to meet the rest of Tater’s family. . . Story Written By Allison Clark

While you are encouraged to find ALL the toads, You must find 4 of the Toads(#'s 1, 4, 8, & 10) and answer a question at each of those 4 in order to get the final coordinates.(see below)

Where A is the answer to a question about Toad #8 (Tino),
B is the answer for the question about Toad #1 (Tater),
C is the answer for Toad # 10 (Tiesha),
and D is the answer for Toad #4 (Tex).
TO FIND THE TOADS: Follow theHints below for each toad. I have included a general GPS coordinate for each that will get you near each one but it is not an exact location (you DO have to look for them, after all).
1: (N 34 56.313, W 082 13.607). THE Beginning can also be the end. START on Poinsett Street with the shells under your feet. Look closely for Tater Toad hiding out.
Question for coordinate (B): What is the last digit in the number for this address? (B)=____.
2: (N 34 56.313, W 082 13.596). JUST to the right is Sister Tess - - she is window shopping by the terracotta tiles.
3: (N 34 56.310, W 082 13.619).FINDING Aunt Tully is a little tricky. She hangs out at the side of the building where ivy grows.
4: (N 34 56.285, W 082 13.594).AROUND the corner on Trade Street is where you will find Tex. He is at the building where the bricks arch. Look high and low!
Question for coordinate (D): What is the 1st digit that makes up the number for this address? (D) = ___.
5: (N 34 56.267, W 082 13.588).TALON is lost. He is waiting for Mama Toad under the Green Lanterns.

6: (N 34 56.283, W 082 13.591). AROUND the corner, where the brides used to get done up, Tallulah is still patiently waiting her turn.

7: (N 34 56.265, W 082 13.593). COME back to the corner with Trade Street to find Taylor hanging out by the Old Drug Store with its green awning. If you walk on down Trade Street and look back up to its top side, you will still see the old "Rexall Drugs" sign painted on its side.
8: (N 34 56.238, W 082 13.580). YOU can find Tino where the sound of the Blues circle the air. Tino is the hardest to find and has the answer for the Question to answer for coordinate (A). How many BLUE letters are in the FIRST word above Tino? (A) = ___.
9:(same coords as #8, but look across the street).TIMMY is in awe watching Tino from his perch across the street.
10: (N 34 56.192, W 082 13.562). FINISH your journey with Tiesha. She is waitin' for the rest of the family to take the train to Greenville.
Question to answer for coordinate (C): Near Tiesha is a metal grate on the sidewalk around a tree. How many letters are in the name of the Foundry (or the city where it is located)? (C) = ___.
