This cache is one of 9 on a circular walk starting at Hammerfield! This one should be easy. It is wrapped in camo fabric and with bits of wood to help hide it. Please make sure the fabric covers it when you replace it. Path is not overly busy but it is used so keep a look out for those pesky muggles!
The path continues east towards ‘Stumpy'. Be warned, a short section is in bad repair uphill and can flood. There is very limited parking at the start of this section of bridleway.
The walk takes between one and a half and two and a half hours depending on how quickly you walk and how quickly you find them - they are all quite easy though. We suggest you go anti-clockwise to avoid the long uphill stretch.
Suggested route- The Holly and the.. >> An Arboreal Marriage >> Hollow Bottom >> Pricke Patch >> Knobbly Bottom >> Devil's Throne (Almost) >> Hedgerow Hide >> Stumpy >> Hammerfield
Feel free to park at Hammerfield Farm N51°00.288 W000°47.977 where the largest of the 9 caches is placed.
The caches are hidden on bridleways, paths and minor lanes. Traffic tends to be light though. The bridleways can be muddy, bumpy and rather holey. Parking is available near(ish) to all of the caches if you want to do them quickly. See individual entries.
The route can be cycled non-stop in about 20 minutes but there are two inclines.
