Everyone has heard of Danica Patrick, but have you heard of Sarah Fisher?? Probably not, but she holds more records in Indy car racing than any other female driver. Sarah at the tender age of 30, (she was born Oct. 4th 1980) Sarah holds more records in the racing world than most people hold in a lifetime.
Not only is Sarah an Indy car driver, but she is also the first & (so far) only female team owner. In addition to that, she became the youngest team owner in 2008 when she started Sarah Fisher Racing, which is a two car team. She holds double duty as team owner/driver of the 67 car. The other car her team owns is the 66 car.
In 2010, Sarah became a published author with the release of her first book "99 Things Women Wish They Knew Before Getting Behind The Wheel of Their Dream Job".
As if this wasn't enough, Sarah is one of the most fan friendly racers around. She always takes time to make appearances and sign autographs for her fans. Through her race team, Sarah has organized food drives to help feed the hungry in the greater Indianapolis area where she resides. Sarah and her race team also team up with the Susan B, Komen Foundation in "On Track for a Cure". Sarah's car was painted pink, her firesuit & helmet were pink as well as the pink uniforms her pit crew wears for the final season race at Homestead/Miami as a reminder of Breast Cancer Awareness. Her helmet & car design came from contests she held on her face book page for fans to enter designs. Her team then picked the top 5 designs & she let her fans vote on which designs would be used.
In addition to being a fan favorite, Sarah is also a well liked & respected among her peers, being voted Most Popular Driver in the Indy car series 3 consecutive years (2001-2003). In 2005 while giving NASCAR a try she was voted Most Popular Driver in the NASCAR Grand National Division West.

1991: Won World Karting Association Grand National Championship
1992: Won World Karting Association Grand National Championship
1993: Won World Karting Association Grand National Championship & Circleville Points Championship.
1994: Won World Karting Association Grand National Championship
1995: Dirt Track Racing Round-Up Rooking of the year
1997: Nominated for the National Sprint Cup Hall of Fame Rookie of the Year & named to the 62 race ALL-Stars circuit of Champions series, finishing 2nd at Eldora Speedway
1998: Raced asphalt in ARCA, NAMARS & USAC
1999: Became the youngest person ever to pass the IndyCar Rookie test & began racing Indy Cars
2000: Became only the 3rd woman to ever qualify for the Indianapolis 500, she was also one of the youngest drivers to ever to compete in the Indianapolis 500. At Kentucky Speedway she became the youngest driver to ever lead laps and the youngest female to ever stand on the podium, finishing 3rd.
2001: 2nd place finish at Homestead-Miami, the best finish ever by a female driver, until 2008 when Danica Patrick finished 1st at the Indy Japan 300. Voted the IRL Crew Most Popular Driver by fan & crew balloting.
2002: Became the 1st woman to win a Pole position in the Belterra Casino Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway, setting a record with the fastest qualifing speed of 221.390 MPH, which still stands today. She was voted the IRL Crew Most Popular Driver for a second consecutive year.
2003: Fasted woman to qualify for an Indianapolis 500 with a speed of 229.439 MPH. She was voted the IRL Crew Most Popular Driver for a third consecutive year.
2004: Sarah drove in her 5th Indianapolis 500. She then moved to to NASCAR West to race stock cars
2005: NASCAR west Rookie of the Year title. Voted the Most Popular Driver for the fourth time.
2006: Returns to Indy Car
2007: Qualifies for her 6th Indianapolis 500. First time in history Indy 500 had 3 female drivers, Fisher, Danica Patrick & Milka Duno.
2008: Sarah Fisher Racing makes it debut. Sarah is the 1st female & youngest owner/driver in an Indy Series. She drives the number 67 car in her 7th Indianapolis 500 race tying her with Lyn St. James with the most 500 starts
2009: Second year as owner/driver of Sarah Fisher Racing. Driver the 67 car in her 8th Indianapolis 500. Won the Scott Brayton Driver's trophy for the Indy 500 & the Firestone Tireiffic Award
2010: Qualified for her 9th Indianapois 500.
Sarah holds the record for most Indy 500 races by a female (with nine), the most starts in Indycar series history and has the most career earnings for a female in IndyCar series history.
