Geocache Description:

The cache is a green plastic container which fits the small category. So, you will find a log only and by the way BYOPen.

Back in the 60's and 70's this use to be the local 1/4 mile street speedway. Can you imagine 0-90 on this two lane back road with a corner at the end. I guess crazier places have be used. As you can imagine the area has changed some like the large boat launch here and the railroad crossing down the street. What the history is here I don't know but I did see a couple of races here.

Fortunately I always told myself that I couldn't afford the rubber or the engine under the hood to play this game and the slush box automatic in the old Impala wasn't exactly the Barracuda some of the boys had. Oh, I don't want to slight the Camaros or the Ford Mustangs but then my car of choice was the Dodge Demon the poor mans street car. Do you remember the numbers, like 440, 327, 454, 289, 409 and 340 plus a few more. Now, they all weigh those in liters and who could really call them blocks. Those old engines where blocks and you didn't need a computer to fine tune a 3/4 high lobed or overlapping cams either. But then what is an Edelbrock or a Holley other than a limb off a tree that you see at Christmas or geocaching. Then you could throw in a six pack and we're not talking about a Bud here....
