Hoyleton Public Cemetery
This cemetery was originally part of the church that was erected near this site in 1870 by the members of the Ebenezer Lutherun Congregation of Hoyles Plain.A second church was erected near this site in 1922, while the last service was held on the 5th of January 1947 and the church demolished 2 years later.
The plaque was unveiled on the 18th of September 1988, this was both the Bicentenial year for Australia and the 150th year since Luteruns had come to this country, also there are over 150 people buried in this small site. There are some wonderful specimens of Native pine here so please tread carefully.
