This cache is for Connor, it is hidden along the west"Back" bank of the canal. About a mile and a half from the basin. It is a very nice walk in any weather, a bit muddy in the rain. So have an nice walk and take a seat. Take care the canal is unfenced. The cache is not on the canal side of the track.
The Crinan Canal,Britain's most beautiful shortcut, From Ardrishaig to Crinan it is nine miles long. It is used by walkers and cyclists as well as many boats (mostly pleasure crafts) that go through the canal each year. It is enjoyed by all. Work started in 1794 by John Rennie and the canal was opened in 1801, but due to problems Thomas Telford was asked to redesign parts of it in 1816.
