Wildlands, Inc.? Traditional Cache
Muggle Finder: There is now a gate across the road to the cache location. It has a no trespassing sign on it. The gate was open today to allow access to the dog training center just beyond the cache site. I took that as permission to enter the area for long enough to remove the cache. Bye, bye, little cache, you were fun while you lasted!

I thought I had found another bridge to nowhere until I saw the "Wildlands, Inc." sign.
The bridge, it seems, serves to provide a view of the 54-acre tidal and seasonal wetlands that make up the Newark Slough Mitigation Bank. This area can be home to critters like salt marsh harvest mice, salt marsh wandering shrew and California Clapper Rail. The sensitive area is fenced off. You can access the cache without leaving the bridge so there is no need to disturb anything.
What is "Wildlands, Inc.", you ask?
This seems to be the deal: imagine that you own some property which you would like to develop but your proposed project is going to cause environmental damage. In order to get a permit to build you have to do something to balance out the damage you are about to cause. Enter a company like Wildlands, Inc. which offers up ready-made balancers for the damage you want to do. You crush frogs on your project site but you make up for it by getting land like this wetlands set aside.
I don’t know what the Newark Slough Mitigation Bank is mitigating but the concept of creating a preserve in one place in order to damage land someplace else is... I don't know what it is. I still have to think about it. Come see this part of the arrangement for yourself.
