Hickory Run, Version 2.0, is finally open...and needs a new cache!
This has been a frequent stop on the way to our cabin upstate
since 1976. I have many memories of running to the bathroom before
the Plymouth Volare station wagon had come to a complete stop!
Hickory Run was showing its age, so it was time for an extreme rest
stop makeover. While the facilities are renovated, the guardrails
remain the same. In fact, those who have cached here before will
recognize the spot. If you reach far enough and you will find
Version 1.0, "Homeward Bound", enjoying its retirement in the same
location!
Cache is technically located on the southbound side, but easily
accessable for northbounders.
Beware of the ever present bees in summer. Small trades, coins,
bugs are welcome.
