This cache is at the grave site of a local civil war veteran named Frank Wyman. It is in very good condition.
It located about 200m off the "White Trail" that connects Vollmerhausen Rd near Murry Hill Rd and the Yellow Trail in the Savage Park and Wincopin Trails System.
PLEASE DON’T GO THE DIRECT ROUTE THROUGH PRIVATE PROPRTY. If you must take a short cut, enter at the waypoint on Whitespring way. Travel down the trail that follows the intermittent, to the drainage collection area, then follow south until you hit the White Trail. Make a right and travel up hill. Do this to avoid private property.
However, the best place to start your quest is at the Savage Park and Wincopin Trails parking area just east of the I-95 on Vollmerhausen Rd. While you are there you can look for another of my caches at the parking area.
Directions: Follow the main RED trail. Make a RIGHT onto the YELLOW TRAIL. At the Middle Patuxent River make a RIGHT onto the WHITE Trail. Go under the I-95. Walk about a half mile, you cross a small stream. The grave is about 200m off the white trail. NOTE: This is a great mountain bike trail I ride regularly...it is somewhat technical and not for beginners.
The cache was placed by permission of the Columbia Association.
Please do not mess with the grave, it is a registered historic location. The cache is 15 ft away from the headstone between one o’clock and two o’clock.
