Geocache Description:

The Son of a Pebble cache is located in Ashfield Massachusetts on the Bullitt Reservation. The Bullitt Reservation is 262 acres of land that was donated to the Trustees of Reservations in 2008 by Anne Bullitt, daughter of William C. Bullitt. The land originally served as Ashfield’s town poor farm from 1839-1874; the property was later used as a summer retreat for the Bullet family. William C. Bullitt (1891-1967) was a former US Ambassador to France and the Soviet Union.

The cache is located off of the well-marked Pebble Trail. The Pebble Trail will take you past a giant “pebble” located near the cache site. The Pebble Trail is a loop that is about 1 mile round trip from the parking area located off of Bullitt Road at N42 30.121 W72 45.369. You will gain about 200 ft of elevation as you arrive at the cache location.
