Walk in the Park #5 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TexasGreg: This cache has run its course. The drought in its 5th year has taken it toll on this part of the park and I am archiving it because the walking trail has gone away and is now overridden with taller grass and goat-head stickers. Thanks to everyone who persevered to find this one in those conditions. TexasGreg

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Jaycee Park. This has been a popular geocaching hot spot over the past several years with many geocaches coming and going over time. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a cache every 500 feet to maximize the caches in one continuous area?

The challenge would be to place as many new caches as possible while working with the existing caches in the Park and the minimum distance rule of 500 feet between caches. How many can you get in one park?

The ‘Walk in the Park’ series is based on that objective. I will drop the first six ‘filler’ caches. I extend a challenge to all the area geocachers to add to the Series to make this a CRE (Cache Rich Environment). Let’s see how many Walk in the Park caches we need to saturate the area. Find ‘em, hide ‘em, and enjoy the challenge!

If you have already found the existing caches, this trail of new caches will make for a nice workout as you score the W&Gs (Walk and Grab variation of a P&G) that have been added. If it’s your first visit to the park, welcome to our CRE! Enjoy the new cache series!

Congrats to Team Rmartinblue for First-To-Find honors!
