Saturday, January the 8th at 8:30am, for the "2011 River Park North
CITO".
The posted coordinates will get you to the picnic area of River
Park North, which is just off Mumford Road in Greenville, NC. At
ground zero there is a covered shelter with plenty of tables and
that's where we will be gathering for the
CITO.
Donuts, coffee, water, and cold
sodas will be provided to help you get your strength up before we
start picking up trash. We will be done cleaning up by 11:00am
which should give you enough time to rack up some caches the rest
of the day.
A sheet containing coordinates, container size and hints for 12 new
un-published caches (hidden in the park) will be passed out at the
end of the CITO to everybody that attended. That means everybody
attending will have a chance to get one of the 12 FTF's in the
park. These 12 un-published caches should be published the
following Sunday or Monday.
There are five (5) ponds located in this beautiful park and the
plan is for us to pick up the trash around all of them. This park
is pretty clean, but you should probably wear some older clothes
and shoes for the clean up. If you have gloves, small buckets, and
trash pick-up sticks, please bring them. The park manager will be
providing us with trash bags and latex gloves and removing the bags
that we leave along the trail. This is a really clean park so we
may not find that much trash.
There will be 6 newly published caches in the park that will be
active the day of the CITO on top of the 12 new unpublished ones in
the park that we will be giving you the coordinates to after the
CITO is complete. The Greenville Area Cachers (GAC) will also be
putting out a bunch of new hides around Greenville as the CITO
nears. So come on out and do your part for a great park that allows
Geocaching. 
Camping is available with a 72 hour advance reservation for only
$10 a day. These are primitive camp sites on the Tar River and
vehicles are not allowed.
River Park North hours for this Saturday are: 8:00am to 5:00pm
