Olive tree and oil are closely connected to Cretan mythology, history, tradition and religion as well the economic life of Cretan people. The oil mill of Armeni is in the

Municipality of Rethimnon and it is part of a large complex. The mill was used from the late 18th century to the middle of the 20th century. In here are still preserved today the new type of olive-press with three mile-stone pulled by animals.

They renovate the building, so I put the cache nearby. Please don’t rebuild the stone wall, look the spoiler picture.
