The first in a small series of 6 caches.
The co-ordinates for the bonus cache can be found by visiting 2 of the caches in the series, but you will have to discover which two for yourself.
The complete series covers a distance of 2.5 - 3 miles.
This lovely bit of Bodmin Moor is rich in flora, fauna and archaeology. It is one of my favourites place to walk the geohound and is situated between Millpool Firing Range and Temple.
Please beware that when the Firing Range is in use and the red flags are flying you should not attempt this cache. The Range area is clearly marked with poles.
The area can be very wet and boggy at all times of year so I would recommend you wear appropriate footwear. The shortest route to each cache is not always the safest or driest and I would suggest that you are cautious and stick to the higher and dryer ground unless you are very familiar with the area.
Please note that to reach cache number 2 you cannot take the direct route due to the marsh. Please see the additional way point that you should aim for. Between this point and the A30 there are places where you will be able to cross over with getting your feet wet.
There is livestock out on this bit of moor so please keep any dogs under control. Clean up after your dog and take home any litter.
You are looking for a small camouflaged container which holds a pencil, log sheet and has room for small swaps or coins.
Take your time and enjoy your walk.
