A traditional cache in a quiet part of Parkdale.
**~~The Little People Cache~~**
All cultures have a tradition about the Little People, whether they be leprechauns, brownies, elves, or just small spirits. Often children are the only ones who see them. They also sometimes cause mischief.
Where we're from, the Anishnaabek have a tradition about the Little People who are called payensak (say "pie-enh-suck" with the enh through the nose). We know an 80 year-old man who was kidnapped by the payensak when he was a child. He was walking in the woods and went missing for over a month. His family searched and searched for him and finally gave him up for dead, but he eventually came back! He doesn't talk about the experience much, but it really happened.
Reports about the Little People are not always bad. Sometimes when a child is lost, a Little Person will speak to the child to calm him or her and then help the kid find the way home.
The Little People may be invisible most of the time, but they are present and watching you. Therefore, to get to this cache, you must use extreme stealth. We recommend you come early in the morning or after dark (although this cache is certainly recommended for families with kids!).
In this regular-sized container you will find all sorts of little people. Take one with you to guide you in future adventures. (They LOVE to go geocaching.) And if you have any at home that would like to get back to the outdoors and go wandering, please drop them off in this cache for others to take.
NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO CLIMB THE FENCE TO RETRIEVE THE CACHE.
