A cache in the area of Pakarae Whangara B5 Farms, a well known landmark in this area.
What beasts they deal with here... and what a pungent aroma fills the air! :-) [:)] The view makes up for it though when you find the cache.
The cache is placed somewhere near the Pakarae Whangara B5 entrance. It is not on the farm's land.
The partnership between two Maori incorporations, Pakarae and Whangara B5 has created a significant farming operation leading the way for Maori land-based businesses.
The Whangara Farms partnership was formed in 2006 when two neighbouring farms, Pakarae and Whangara B5, joined to form a 5600 hectare property running a Romney based flock of 30,000 sheep and a herd of 5000 Angus-cross cattle. The partnership expects to run 60,000 stock units within the next five years. The farms won the 2009 BNZ Maori Excellence in Farming Award for sheep and beef farming.
One can park off-road at the entrance to the farm, but WATCH TRAFFIC as this is a trouble spot.
The cache is a 400ml sistema partly camo'ed with black tape and contained the following when placed:
an FTF prize,
log book with pencil and sharpener,
swaps including a cereal toy, sticker, note pad and 2 AA batteries,
as well as caching info, a muggle card and silica.
Please be sure to conceal it as you have found it, and to seal the container well.
