Dieser Cache führt dich zu einem Ort der besonderen Art. Auf der einen Seite siehst du die monströsen Hallen der Stahlindustrie und deren Hochöfen. Auf der anderen Seite der Straße kannst du zahlreiche neue Gebäude mit origineller Architektur bewundern. Eines davon beherbergt die Stahlwelt, ein sehr modernes Museum rund um das Thema Stahl. Die Bauform des Gebäudes soll an ein auf dem Kopf stehendes "L" für Linz erinnern.
Um den Cache zu heben musst du zuerst die Fragen unter (1) und (2) beantworten. Das Ergebnis ist jeweils die Anzahl der Buchstaben der gefundenen Lösung. Die letzten Hinweise (3) zur Berechnung der Cache-Koordinaten findest du sodann vor Ort.
(1) Geschichte
Der Bau des Linzer Stahlbetriebes war von einem deutschen Politiker geprägt, der folglich auch Namensgeber war. Für das Bauvorhaben musste ein gesamter Stadtteil umgesiedelt werden. Gesucht werden der vollständige Name des Politikers (A) und der Name des Linzer Stadtteils (B).
(2) Stahlerzeugung
Für die Stahlerzeugung gibt es mehrere Stahlherstellungsverfahren. Eines der Verfahren beinhaltet den Namen eines bekannten deutschen Unternehmens und einen männlichen Vornamen. Gesucht ist die Art des Verfahrens (C) und der männliche Vorname (D).
(3) Das Museum
a) Wie viele bewegliche Elemente schützen die Museums-Besucher an heißen Tagen west-seitig vor zu starker Sonneneinstrahlung (=E)?
b) Wie viele "Leuchttürme" beleuchten bei Dunkelheit die west-seitige Fassade des Museums (=F)? Derzeit fehlt einer der "Leuchttürme". Sollte F ungerade sein, zählt zu eurem Ergebnis eins dazu.
c) Wie viele "Metallknöpfe" kannst du auf dem Weg zum Haupteingang nord-seitig des Museums von der "Brücke" aus zählen (=G)?
Der Cache
Nun bist du ausreichend vorbereitet, um den Cache zu suchen. Finde ihn unter folgenden Koordinaten:
N = 48° (A-B+C-D-F).(A+2*C+E)'
E = 14° (A-B+D).(B*D+G/F+F/2)'
Die Cache-Location ist jederzeit öffentlich zugänglich, befindet sich jedoch auf einem Grundstück der voestalpine, die über den Geocache informiert ist. Es wird um besondere Rücksicht beim Suchen und Loggen gebeten, damit niemand unnötig Verdacht schöpft. Stealth-Mode ist angesagt.
Um den Cache zu heben muss das Museum nicht betreten werden. Es ist aber absolut einen Besuch wert. In der oberen Etage befindet sich außerdem ein Kaffee mit tollem Ausblick auf die Anlagen der voestapline Stahl.

This cache shows you an interesting place. On the one side you can see the large facilities of the steel industry and on the other side of the street you can find some new buildings with an interesting architecture. One of these buildings is home of the interesting new steel museum Stahlwelt. The shape of the building should remind us on the upside down letter "L" for Linz.
To log the cache you have to solve the riddles (1) and (2). As the solution take the number of letters of each answer. The last hints (3) for the final location can be found right on site.
(1) History
The construction of the steel plant in Linz was affected by a German politician, who then was the first eponym for the plant. Before the construction a whole district of Linz had to be relocated. What is the full name of the politician (A) and which district of Linz was relocated back in 1938 (B)?
(2) Steelmaking
There are several techniques for steelmaking. The name of one technique contains the name of a famous German company and also a male forename. What is the German name for the type of technique (C) and what is the forename (D)?
(3) The Museum
a) How many moveable elements protect the visitors from too much sun on the west-side of the building (=E)?
b) How many small "light houses" enlighten the west-side of the building (=F)? Currently one of the "light houses" is missing. If F is an odd number, add one. F has to be an even number.
c) How many metallic dots can you count from the "bridge" to the main entrance on the north-side of the building (=G)?

The Cache-Location is public accessible all time. Nevertheless the ground is property of voestalpine (they know about the geocache). Please search carefully and do not force too much attention. Stealth-mode is required.
To log the cache you needn't enter the museum although it's really worth a visit. On the top floor there is a cafe with a marvellous view on the site of voestalpine.
