A small box hidden beside the path in a natural feature. Paths are good but a descent/reascent of 100m is part of the route.
Cache contains log and small swap items.
A circular walk taking in this cache and Brian's Bumper Box will give a good walk of around 3.25km and takes in forest and river.
When I placed the cache I watched Dippers diving from the ice on the river into the fast-flowing current, only to bob back out onto the ice a few feet away. I have no idea how the don't get swept downriver.
In early spring the forest floor is covered in bluebells and then a little later on paths are wafted with the smell of wild garlic.
I have also spotted Roe Deer here a couple of times, but you have to be out within an hour of daybreak or dusk to have any chance and be the only one on the paths. Ispotted one on the way back to the car when placing this cache
