Taji TARDIS

GENERAL RULES FOR COMBAT CACHING IN IRAQ: This cache is
located in a war zone. It is on a on a Coalition Forces (CF)
Military Base. All US & CF service members, and US & CF
contractors that have the proper credentials and are authorized
on-base access can hunt this geocache. This cache is not within any
secondary perimeter or high security area. Do not post logs or
photos that give any references to what is around the cache site or
might otherwise compromise OPSEC!


Either you know what a TARDIS is, or you do not. In case you do
not, an explanation probably will be of absolute no use to you or
worth my time to explain.

I shall explain anyway.

The TARDIS (Time And Relative
Dimension In Space) is a fictional time
machine and spacecraft in the British science fiction television
program Doctor Who. It is one of my obsessions other than
geocaching (well, and my wife and kids, but other than that, yup,
the short list of my obsessions is family, geocaching, Doctor
Who).

Who is the Doctor? Well, he's a man, but he's not really a man.
He's a doctor. But he's not really a doctor. He's sort of like
Doctor Phil, but AWESOME. Well, he's nothing like Doctor Phil,
either. He is, however, AWESOME. Further, he cruises around in the
TARDIS. Get it?

The Doctor has said about the TARDIS such: "The TARDIS is
dimensionally transcendental." I just like the sound of that, and
think it is just plain cool. If you don't, then keep your opinion
to yourself.

Oh yeah, be sure to keep in mind dimensionally transcendental as
you search for this cache.

The Doctor's TARDIS is an outdated Type 40 model, and it is stuck
in the form of a British 1950's police box. Now, tell me that is
not cool. This police box is more than just a time machine, it also
serves as a base of operations and a space ship. It has the cool
feature of being much larger on the inside than you would expect on
the outside. This remarkable machine, when not broken, can also
change shape to blend in with their surroundings. Apparently,
though, Dr Who’s vessel is an outdated model that has a
faulty chameleon circuit that is stuck in the police box form. It
also is unreliable in it’s time travel because it’s an
older model and prone to breakdowns. Sounds like a CH-47, except
more cool, bigger on the inside than the outside, and it is blue
and not green. Really, the break down part is about the only thing
the TARDIS has in common with a CH-47.

So, in honor of my favorite time machine, I
present to you this wonderful cache. It only has one resemblence to
the TARDIS, actually, and looks nothing like the picture, but deal
with it. The cache is, however, bright in color and has no
camoflage at all, so should stand out against the background
setting.
