Geocache Description:

Placed with permission of the Wood County Park District.
There is a nice new parking lot for your use. Please use it.

Cache is in a mediium sized plastic container.

The Beaver Creek Preserve is Wood County's newest park. It's only about eleven acres, and half of that is a wet land that isn't accessible. This land use to be long to Frank Stranahan, founder of the Champion Spark Plug Company in Toledo, Ohio. There is an old hunting lodge here that the W.C. Parks has converted into a day use lodge and small meeting and conference center. The improvements are on going and include a new parking lot, sidewalks and restroom restoration.
