This cache has been archived.

TheCur8or: As there's been no cache to find for a long time, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Geocache Description:

Come to the point - Northcote Point

The Pointer is a breed of dog developed as a gun dog and were bred to work with hunters. In the past they were sometimes used in combination with a retriever, to point out the game for the hunter. As early as the 17th century, sportsmen used Pointers to locate hares and then used greyhounds to chase them.

Bring your pointer down to Northcote Point, if you've got one, to help you retrieve this cache and whilst your here you can have a stroll up and down Queen St. To start with Come and park near Jean Sampson reserve, which is a small park, suitable for the littlies, just across the road from where the track leads down to the beaches (look and follow the council signs). You can also check out the cafe's and there's just a few other great cache's nearby too. Down near the cache site you and sit at the chair and table provided and enjoy the wonderful view acros the harbour, a beautiful sight near sunset. Bring a thermos of something warm if a strong westerly is blowing. Also, from the cache site at low tide you can walk all the way around Little Shoal Bay, which is just wonderful on a warm sunny day any time of the year.

Cache is a plastic jar, placed in camo, containing a logbook, pencil and a few swaps at placement, please replace as found
