연수암
Yeonsu Temple
This small Buddhist Temple is on the way from the town of Sangju
to the Nanjang Temple area if you approach from the east.
There seems to little information about this temple, but there is a
magnificent standing Buddha here. The most fascinating aspect is a
large grotto carved into the solid granite hill, with relief
carvings on the side and 500 small statues of Buddha flanking a
larger white statue.
There is active construction going on here, so there may be new
buildings and statues going up.
The cache is a small Lock-and-Lock container with small trade
items, and a travel bug beginning its journey here.
