An easy cache along a little-known section of the DeKalb County PATH system.
This cache was once the final of Arizona Ice, a multicache designed to show cachers an unusual sign at stage one. The signed warned, "Danger: Falling Ice," as unlikely as that sounds in this Atlanta neighborhood. I guess there's been a thaw, because the sign is gone. But the final lives on as a regular cache.
There are several ways to access the cache, but it's easiest to park at the end of Arizona Avenue. From there it's a short stroll to the cache. It's only a few feet off the paved path, so use reasonable stealth, and please cover the cache well.
Look around the interesting neighborhood on your way to the cache. It's a mixture of light industry, loft apartments, and TV/radio broadcast towers. There's a great pub on the street if you want to stop for a sandwich and a brew.
There are several other caches nearby to hunt while you're in the area. Due to the transitional nature of the neighborhood, don't hunt this cache at night. PATH hours are dawn to dusk.
