Now, it should be noted that Cronies, as the population of Omnicron Persei 8 are known, have 2 major flaws; that, as a result of Natural Selection, prevents them from evolving much beyond that of simple primates (which makes them ideally suited to become politicians, circus performers or marketing consultants). These flaws are:
- They have a tendency to greatly over-estimate what popular opinion is
- Common sense is fatal to them.
The XORN project was doomed from the start, because no one realized (before spending trillions of dollars on Gallop Poll research, R&D & deployment) that even if XORN worked, Facebook had not developed inter-dimensional email platform (yet).
On a side note, contrary to a recent docu-drama regarding a social network, Facebook was originally developed by the Solaris Corporation as a way to test laboratory animals. It was an executive in their Entertainment Department that traded the source code & all rights to Mark Zuckerberg in exchange for a DVD boxed set of the TV show Manimal, starring Simon MacCorkindale; predicting that it would be the biggest show in the history of Cronie TV.
When asked why they would trade something so valuable for something as forgotten as Manimal, the Director of Entertainment Sales said simply, "Hey, its better than Dancing With the Stars".
