The Steinbeck Library, one of three branches of the Salinas Public Library, in honor of its City of Letters Literary Landmark status, has been chosen as a recipient of a public art installation. The inscribed granite boulder makes a very imposing addition to the landscape.
This library serves the residents of the central part of the city. As the main branch, it holds the major part of the collection, including business items, large print books, vehicle repair manuals, career and consumer information, as well as Steinbeck and local history materials. This branch also has Internet access, a Digital Arts Lab, and a Literacy Center. All this, plus "John in Bronze" in the patio!
The magnetic cache is hidden nearby and is accessible from the street or sidewalk. Please bring your own pen to sign the log.
