St John Ambulance Australia is a self-funding charitable organisation active in all states and territories, dedicated to helping people in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.
This cache has been placed near what was, at the time of placement, the state headquarters of St John Ambulance Australia. While you hopefully will never need them to patch you up, it's always comforting to see these dedicated folks anywhere there are crowds of people likely to hurt themselves.
They also run first aid courses and sell some pretty good first aid kits!
The cache has been placed with the assistance and approval of St John Ambulance. Many sincere thanks to the St John folks and especially to Baroki Scout for making this possible.
The published coordinates will place you in front of what was, until late 2017, the St John headquarters, where you have some numbers to find:
* Look for the B.C.C. sign next to the parking meter station. Its month of manufacture is AB, and the year is CDEF.
* "GHIJ" is the four-digit number on the side of the parking meter station itself.
