This cache is located in the Alderman's Ford nature preserve.
It is located on 970 acres of land purchased for preservation under the Hillsborough County Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP). This is one of several caches along the horse trail.
The horse trail lies on the south side of the river. The trail area climbs away from the river and enters high and dry forests of longleaf pine and live oaks. The trail is open year round during daylight hours.
