This cache is a magnetic keysafe placed appoximately 3ft (1m) above ground level. This cache should be accessible to wheelchair cachers.
This cache commemorates the lucky escape when a 500kg bomb that was dropped on Friday 4 June 1943 passed through St Saviour's Church vicarage [knocking the vicar's tea and cucumber sandwiches from his hands?] and in to the church without exploding.
Thankfully, it was later defused.
UPDATE:
I was saddened to see that another WW2 bomb dropped nearby that had a devastating effect.
It hit a WW2 Air Raid Shelter, exploded, and killed all of the people sheltering inside.
This cache, therefore, also commemorates the people who were in that WW2 Air Raid Shelter.
