Geocache Description:

Kick start the New Year with this get together in a new pub in Sale. Caching quiz. Let's put some faces to the names and forget about that first week back at work!!!

Date: Friday 7th January

Time: 6.30pm onwards

Location: The Steamhouse, Sale, M33

Forget that dreaded first week back at work after the hols by meeting up with some new or familiar faces to catch up, chat about caching experiences during the previous year, plan new ones or simply sample the wide range of beers on offer!!.

For that much craved after challenge, we will also have a caching quiz to stretch and test our knowledge (or lack of, in my case) courtesy of B of BandMandAandA. Thanks B!

Starting early so that you can just pop in for a quick beer on your way home or stay until the last man/woman/cacher drops. Up to you!

The Steamhouse is a new real ale/foreign beer pub in Sale.

Beers include:

Belgian Trappist Ales: Roquefort, Scourmont and Nestmalle
Belgian Abbaye Style: Abbaye des Rocs, Bavicole Brambandeve, St Bernadus, St Feullien and Val Dieu
Belgian Regional Beers
Austria: SclossEggenenberg
UK: Conwy, Worthington's, Hobson, St Austell, Traquar House, Wye Valley
USA: Anchor, Brooklyn, Flying Dog
Also beers from the Netherlands, France, Germany, Cask Ales and Lagers and 100 bottled beers from around the world.

Live music or Open Mike every evening downstairs....... (not compulsory )

Food available/Pieminister menu: A Pie and a Pint

The Steamhouse is in the centre of Sale, parking available at nearby Sainsburys (free after 5.30pm) and is directly opposite Sale Tram Station.

Being relatively new to this game, I'm looking forward to putting faces to the names that are becoming familiar. See you there! .
