This DESERT IN BLOOM series is dedicated to my Grandma Emma from Nebraska. For the many years that I lived in Arizona, I sent her the annual Arizona Highways Calendar with all the beautiful photos of the blooming cacti of the southwest. During our frequent phone conversations, she always asked: "Is the desert in bloom there?" So, yes Grandma, the desert is in bloom, somewhere, every month of the year. Here is November ish.
