Knagur Green: Due to no response from the CO after the request to maintain or replace the cache, I am archiving it to, stop it showing on the listings and/or to create place for the geocaching community.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival. This is explained in the Help Center

Geocache Description:

The cache is a silver tin box and contains a beaded South African flag, logbook and pen.

You can park at S34°00'47.74" E25°41'27.98"

SAMREC ( South African Marine Rehabilitation and Education Centre ) is a non-profit organisation which was formed to care for sick or injured African penguins. The need for this kind of organisation is really necessary in this area as the number of African Penguins are declining drastically. Penguins at SAMREC which are either rescued or brought in by the public are treated for any diseases or injuries they might of sustained, they are then rehabilitated and when ready are released.
SAMREC is open every day from 09h00 to 16h30 except for Christmas and the New Year period. There is an entrance fee.
