Welcome to the Pioneer Reserve at Kongwak. A nice walking track to the Lookout loop which will take you 20 mins or a walk to the Foster creek will take you 30 mins. The town Kongwak is also known as the " Valley of peace".
It use to be a busy place with a Butter Factory and a big General Store. The store catered for everybody's needs from the house to the dairy and other farming goods. Both have been closed for some years now. The Butter factory moved to Korumburra then when it closed moved to Leongatha to the now Murray Goulburn plant.
Where the store use to be there is a variety market held there every Sunday from 10am till 3pm. In another part of the store is a gallery. The town also has a Primary School, Hall and a Uniting Church. I hope you enjoy this area.
