This cache is accessible year round. With the new trailhead along Guardsman Pass this cache is just as easy to find with or without snow. The hardest part will be the last 100 feet. In summer it will take bushwhacking; in winter you will be post-holing as you can't stay in your skis right up to the cache. Well, I guess you could but it would probably cost you your lift ticket and a steep fine.
This cache is accessible from both resorts, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort. It is in the No Person's Land between the two resorts. Please do not cross any orange ropes from any direction while wearing your skis or snowboard. If you got there via one of the resorts' lifts, it's a good way to have them take your lift ticket.
No need to untie any of the knots. Unclip the caribiner, lower the cache. When you are done raise it back up and re-clip the carabiner.
This one is about the journey, but there is a pretty decent view when you get there.
Congratulations to frincky on FTF!
