1889 - (1st October) Hockley train station was first opened.
1891 - It took 65 minutes to travel from Southend to Liverpool Street.
1901 - The single track was doubled.
1911 - It took 52 minutes to travel from Southend to Liverpool Street.
1956 - Electric trains replaced Steam trains.
2010 - Geocache placed.
