Geocache Description:

A multi around the small township of Sanson. All waypoints are on the busy major State Highways so care is required with children.
The given waypoint in heading is a safe parking area to start your walk.

Allow about 30minutes to amble around the waypoints - a distance of about 2 1/2 km- visiting some of the local points of interest.
Sanson township was named after Harry Sanson, the secretary of the Hutt Small Farm Assoc. that purchased a large block of land called the Sandon Block for sub division into small farm holdings, around which the central township of Sanson was formed.
You will visit a commemorative plaque referring to a tramway that transported people, freight and livestock from the Port of Foxton to Sanson for nearly 60 years. It also transported the metal for the establishment of the new roadways in the area. The rails go into and to the back the old work shed. Considering the door height one presumes that only the engine could go into this building. Present owners are aware that 'you' are gathering info for a treasure hunt from the public plaque, as it is right beside their office door!
The other sites are self explanatory.
If you walk along the road where you park and around the corner, at the first cross roads there is a lovely playground for Juniors a little way up to your left by community hall.
The cache is an unusual container in a fairly usual hiding site. The container is fairly small inside so bring own pencil, room only for geocoins.
