CACHE ON THE RAIL
Oh give me a cache
By the highway's paved path
With the cars and the trucks roaring by
Where the litter is tossed
And folks think you are lost
And the traffic cops give you the eye
Cache, cache on the rail
Where the hornets and caterpillars dwell
Where you'll never find swag
Or a travel bug tag
Why I'm doing this, no one can tell
I won't get upset
If your insides are wet
Or if part of your cover is gone
I'll just bring my own pen
Sign your log sheet, and then
Put you back on the rail and move on
Cache, cache on the rail
Where the weeds and the pricklers grow tall
I'll just grope all around
Oh my goodness! I've found--
A spider web! Well, can't win 'em all!
