No Cattle Creek Traditional Cache

You will find this potentially frustrating container just off 3N55/Baldy Mesa Road, in the Cajon Pass area.
It's unclear whether the road has moved over the years or if the stream has moved, or perhaps this structure was placed in the wrong spot. Either way, cattle are not meant to wander entirely free, so ranchers place structures to keep them from simply walking off, down the road to greener pastures. They work by having spaces between each rib that are not wide enough to get a hoof caught in, but wide enough to create an unstable surface to walk on, which the cattle do not like so to they choose not to walk across them. I like my ribs covered in a tangy mesquite barbeque sauce.
