Geocache Description:

Easy cache with a cold/snowy/Christmasy theme. Very short walk from very good parking.

Well, this is my side of town. I like hiking up Houghton past Snyder. Great views when you get up to the top, especially at sunset. This cache should be pretty easy, except for the usual desert culprits of prickly pear, mesquite, and pokey things! It rained last night and I understand there was some snow up on the mountain, so I put this cache together, my first, as kinda a tribute to hoping for a white Christmas. We have had a couple decent snowfalls at this location over the years. I mean, enough to run around like a wacko person and take some fun photos of saguaros covered with the white stuff.

The original cache is a tin. Contents are loosely a cold/snowy/icy/Christmasy theme, so let's try to stick with that. Feel free to do your best snowflake drawing in the log book - that ought to be interesting for Tucson locals!! Cache is currently filled with jingle bells, a penguin, Christmasy stickers, a Santa eraser, a snowflake earring and necklace set, a candy cane decoration, an Ice Age movie figurine, and some non cold items, as well as a log and pencil. There is a First To Find trackable tag for the First To Find. Try to keep on the theme if possible. No food items or anything that might leak like bubbles. Careful opening the lid, pull straight up and replace carefully...you'll see why when you open it up! Replace carefully so it stays in place.

So go chill out up there, especially when July comes around and it's 114 in the shade!
