Geocache Description:


This cache is located nearby the 5th Tunnel in Aigi Tunnels.

Aigi Tunnels is located in discontinued railroad lines between Kojoji Station in Aichi Pref. and Tajimi Station in Gifu Pref.
This line have discontined at 1966 and Tunnels have left uncared.
And National Trust have started since 2009 to preserve the environment as the industrial ruins by NPO.
The vacant area from 3rd to 6th tunnels are shown at limited time in Spring and Autumn.
Open date will be shown at NPO website above.

このキャッシュは愛岐トンネル第５号トンネル周辺にあります。

愛岐トンネル群は、愛知県の高蔵寺駅と岐阜県の多治見駅間の旧国鉄時代の廃線跡地です。
昭和41年に廃線となって以降、13基のトンネルは放置されていましたが、2009年にNPOにより産業遺跡として保存再生の為のナショナルトラスト運動が行われています。
現在は３号～６号トンネルまでが春と秋の期間限定で公開されています。公開日時は上記NPOのウェブサイトで公開されます。
